How It Works

Treatment Experience

The procedure is straightforward and typically takes 15 to 20 minutes. After a consultation and treatment mapping, a series of small injections are administered into the area beneath the chin. Most patients experience only mild discomfort, often described as a stinging or burning sensation, which subsides shortly after treatment. Swelling is common and part of the fat cell breakdown process, usually lasting a few days to a couple of weeks. Normal activities can often be resumed immediately, though visible swelling should be expected as part of the healing.

Safety and Results

Kybella® requires no incisions or anesthesia and is performed entirely in-office. The most common side effects include swelling, bruising, tenderness, or numbness in the treated area, all of which are temporary. Results develop gradually, as the body naturally processes the destroyed fat cells.
